You know.... It might be time to post the entire conversation file I sent you.... Apparently I harassed her.... Hah! Apparently telling the truth and calling it like it is, is threatening.... Only threat I made before being blocked was that if anyone wanted to see the deleted posts to message me ;p

I only posted the convo between her and myself. I didn't want to drag you in to it.
If you want to post ones that haven't redacted your comments, you can do so right here. Simply upload the photos to a photo sharing site (like photobucket) and link to them here as a picture in your post.
Although, I don't think it really matters. They haven't really been doing shit over there since she went apeshit. For the most part, it looks like people are generally ignoring her and she hasn't made one iota of actually useful posts about union issues. Just posts about her mutts and that ignorant, uninformed post about chain restaurants.

Too true, I looked a little while ago, first day since she booted me off and I saw something directed at me supposedly harassing her.... No one commented after she implied that tho..... I kind of thank her for attacking me.... A good direct attack actually gave me a chance to dispel the gossip ring's nonsense ) It was refreshing to greet it head for once Gave me a taste for direct rebuttals and use of exact smite

Well, as I've said before - watching her was comical. Like watching a reality TV show where you're watching it because the people in it are train wrecks. It's simply entertaining. The level of self-importance she feels about herself is simply astounding given that she really hasn't done ONE thing that actually does the union any good. It's all about self promotion for her and her butthurt KMF pals that got the boot, not unionism.
At least here, we actually have legit discussions about real issues that affect the union. We don't always agree, but we get along... Well, usually get along.
If/when you run into Joe, be sure to tell him to swing by here. I expect things will be slow for a bit, but if/when the legislature comes back to pass their raise, we'll have much to talk about. And then there's the new year and Cuomos much anticipated SOTS address.

I think there are two kinds of state worker.
Type 1 state workers want to be left alone to do their job in peace and quiet. For them, the union's only there to make sure their terms of employment are fair. As long as management doesn't do anything unfair to them, they're perfectly happy keeping their head down and doing good work. They actually enjoy their jobs, and think of them as a career. They're proud to be in public service; they think they're doing something meaningful.
I'm DEFINITELY a type 1, and I believe Darth and most of the other people I converse with online are also. This is why we aren't rushing to leave our jobs to become union staffers. Our jobs are already meaningful.
Type 2 state workers are the lazy, useless shits most of us complain about when outsiders aren't around. They're the losers who think they have the right to fill a chair for the last few years until they retire, contributing nothing and not giving a crap about anyone but themselves. Their asses get fatter, their bellies expand to fill the space between keyboard and chair, and most of their coworkers completely ignore them, praying for them to just retire, damn it, and free up the position for someone who gives a fuck.
I think we all know a few Type 2s.
When you talk with someone online, ask yourself: what type of state worker am I talking with? Does this person seem to care about public service? Or is he or she a self-serving good for nothing who only cares about holding onto his/her job with a death grip? How much FEAR do they talk about? It's a good indicator.

I think that's SPOT ON man! Perfectly describes many of the people I know that are actually "active" in the unions.
I know a few good eggs that get involved, but mostly, it seems like people looking to shirk their job duties and party. It's those sort of people that cause me NOT to want to get actively involved in union politics in a more direct way than anonymously discussing union politics online.
